Get Involved: Valentine to Justin Trudeau

The University of Guelph-Humber Early Childhood Studies and Humber College Early Childhood Education programs will be preparing a virtual Kudo board Valentine to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to advocate for Indigenous children and demand change from our government. To participate, click the button below to add your message to our Kudo board. On February 14, we will be sending the valentine with all of your messages to Justin Trudeau. In your message, feel free to include images and videos to further exemplify the message.

Example Messages

  • Please have a heart, Indigenous children should not have to fight for services that all other Canadians enjoy.

  • Give Indigenous children the same chance to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of their cultures.

  • Eliminate the discrepancy in federal education funding between on-reserve and off-reserve students. Indigenous children deserve the same access to quality education as all Canadian children.

For more inspiration on what to write in your message, explore the rest of this website and check out the Beyond 94 Calls to Action website.

Twitter

Get involved further by taking action through Twitter. On February 14, join our Twitter frenzy by tweeting a #HaveAHeartDay message @JustinTrudeau and your local MP.

Help to further make our voices heard, advocate for the rights of Indigenous children, and demand change from our government.
